2005年より4年間にわたりNHK Eテレ（『天才てれびくんMAX』枠）にて放送された、加藤道哉のTVアニメーション初監督作品（原作：リリー・フランキー）。
おでん村の個性豊かな具材たちの交流を描く、シュールでハートフルなコメディ。原作絵本の温かな風合いを活かしつつ当時の最新CG技術を融合させ、全153話に及ぶロングランヒットを記録した。
加藤は監督・演出を務めたほか、自ら脚本・絵コンテ・VFXまで全工程を単独で手掛けたエピソードも数多く担当。サイクロングラフィックスの原点であり、圧倒的な制作密度を象徴する代表作。

The first directorial work directed by Michiya Kato. Animation broadcast on NHK’s E-tele for four years from 2005. Based on the picture book by Lily Franky, who is famous for his famous book, Tokyo Tower. A slightly surrealistic heart-full comedy that depicts the lives of people living in Tokyo and the ingredients of oden, centered on the uncle and oden of the stalls.
